Types of Restaurants

There are many different types of restaurant but the most common type is one where you are seated at a table and a waiter will look after you throughout your meal. A menu will list all the dishes that are being offered and you will be given time to decide what you would like to eat. Once you have decided what you would like to eat in the restaurant then the chefs in the kitchen will prepare your food for you. This makes the experience of going to a restaurant very relaxing as you need not do anything apart from enjoy the meal. Going to a restaurant enables you to sample many different flavours from around the world that you perhaps would not try at home. Depending on the restaurant they may or may not serve alcohol on the premises. Normally they will serve alcohol as it is very popular to drink wine in a restaurant with a meal.

Restaurants may concentrate on serving a certain style of food from a particular country such as Italy, but there are also restaurants who specialise in certain food types such as seafood or a vegetarian menu. There are restaurants that serve only the highest class of food and their chefs are accredited with top accolades such as a Michelin Star. There are restaurant guides that will allow a restaurant go-er to find out more about which is the best establishment to go to. The most famous restaurant guide is the Michelin Guide.
